Before School Workout
The HB Wake Up and Work Out morning program will begin on Monday, November 27th.
It is free and open to all students in grades 5-8. This year there will be two separate programs.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays students can drop in anytime beginning at 7:30. We typically play what we are covering in class that day.
On Mondays and Wednesdays a new program, HB CrossFit Kids, will be offered.
Classes will begin promptly at 7:30 AM and will run until the start of the school day (7:55 AM).
Students must sign-up to participate in this program. You may sign-up by emailing Mrs. Delaney and let her know your child’s name and grade. Email Mrs. Delaney at hdelaney@nmrsd.org.

Lost and Found
Some of our current HB lost and found can be seen here and here. Please have your child check the cafe if they are missing something. Unclaimed items will be donated to local charities.

Homework Club
The homework club is up and running. This is an after school opportunity for students who would benefit from a structured setting, with a HB staff member available to support them, as they worked on homework, studying, or long term projects. We have found this to be very worthwhile for some middle school students because it can take away some of the usual stress that comes with homework time at home for a couple of days per week. The sessions are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-4:00 PM and run in approximately 5-6 week periods. Click here for a permission slip and more information.

This is a cost share program.
Contact Ms. Dupuis or Ms. Morales for more information.

French Club
French Club meetings are open to any HB student interested in learning more about the French language and culture, or those who plan to take French at the high school. French Club will meet during AE on Day 2 in Madame Le Grand's room.

Math Club
The Math Club meets after school Mondays until 3:30pm. Attendance is flexible and a student can start the year, take a break, and then begin again. The goal of the club is to have fun with math, even students who haven’t had a lot of success with math. For students who like competition, the club will be entering the regional MathCounts competition. The club will prepare for the competition while still being fun and appropriate for all students, even those who don’t wish to compete. Click here for a permission slip.

Morning Breakfast
HB offers morning breakfast for students from 7:30 until  7:55AM.

Free and Reduced Price School Meals
The application for free and reduced-price lunch and breakfast can be found here and on the Food Services link on the left. Families can apply throughout the year as incomes change. Contact Michelle Nee at 978.433.0114 with questions.

Robotics Club
The Robotics club meets after school on Wednesdays until 3:30PM.  The team will build a robot and train for the Botball competition at UMass Lowell. Space is limited to 10-15 students who are committed and are willing to work as a team. The competition involves building and programming robots, with specified materials, to navigate a course autonomously. No experience is necessary. Students are the ones who take the responsibility to teach and organize the club with support from the coach.
